Eureka Vacuum
2009-10-28
Let me inform you all, who have so far missed having had a chance to look at a Eureka 71b Handheld Vacuum, that it comes in a bright yellow color, yes the yellow of a New York City cab, though, not so noisy. This is a perfect machine for the kitchen. I%u2019m sure any young Indian chef would welcome that as this yellow is the same as you have in saffron, the luckiest and perhaps the most expensive herb today. The two would jell too well in the kitchen.

I%u2019m reminded of good old college days, when I used to party like everybody else, but one day I littered the dorm master%u2019s brand new rug with a bagful of cheese puffs. I%u2019m sure you can imagine my plight. I wish Eureka had introduced this 71b handheld vacuum at that time, coming to my rescue by way of clearing all the mess before anyone coming to know what went wrong!

Given the present economic scenario, most of us work on tight budgets and may find even the low price of the Eureka 71b handheld vacuum to be a bit out of reach, but let me tell you that here%u2019s an appliance that pays for itself in a number of ways. Imagine spilling over an edible in the kitchen in the morning rush of work and the accompanied tension of getting delayed for the transport to office! That%u2019s when you%u2019ll find a Eureka 71b handheld vacuum really handy. Look at the convenience!

It%u2019s not of convenience to you alone. Suppose your spouse lets go off a can of coffee. He would surely vacuum it down the machine before you get to know of it and that saves you both from an unpleasant argument, coffee being as expensive as it can get these days. Sell him the idea and he is sure to support you into buying this machine. Look at the other actions it could perform for you. It clears the dust, removes pet hair from your seating arrangement and the crud in general that tend to get built up in the corners around the house.

Whatever be the situation, normal or an emergency, you can depend on this handyman, the Eureka 71b handheld vacuum

Eureka Forbes Limited, the manufacturers of Eureka vacuum cleaners is now renamed as Electrolux Home Care Products North America. The company stands true to its name-Eureka  - a discovery that is anticipated to cause a significant impact on the world. It was in 1913when the company introduced itself with six of its vacuum cleaning machines. Ever since, it has continued to dominate the market of floor care appliances mainly due to its superb quality. The earliest recognition of their quality came in as far back as 1915 in the shape of a Grand Prize at the San Francisco International Exposition.

It's about a century old company that continues to concentrate on providing domestic and commercial cleaning machines. As of now it is producing more than a hundred and thirty models of vacuum cleaners to suit the requirements of variety of users under different circumstances. Its manufacturing range covers uprights, canisters, handheld or battery operated cordless machines apart from fry-wet, stick or built-in central cleaners for domestic use.

You'll have many reasons to go for a Eureka vacuum cleaner.

The foremost reason for recommending a Eureka vacuum cleaner is that it fitted with a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter. Only HEPA filters have the capacity to collect as small particles as 0.3 microns. It means that air is free of pollens, dust particles and other allergens by just about 100%. Now that quality of breathing air is surely a delight for those suffering from asthma or acute allergies.

Soon you will observe that your family, particularly children, sleep more peacefully than ever. Your infant will not develop coughs and colds too frequently. And don't get surprised if the visitors to you place are appreciative of the unusual quality of air in your house. The quality of air reached as a consequence of using HEPA filters has been prompting medics and other support groups for asthmatics and allergy sufferers to recommend the use of machines equipped with these filters.

Here are a few of the better-known models of Eureka:

1. The Eureka 5855BZ Bagless Lite Speed Upright: This model makes use of a two-step intake and a sealed air handler. It has a specially designed dust trap that collects dust faster than other uprights. A built-in wall stops the debris from getting dumped back on the carpet. The spinning duster has an electrostatic charge that enables it to exert a pull on dust particles more efficiently.

2. The Eureka 2981AVZ Altima Upright: This is a remarkable model that reduces the hassle of cleaning to bare minimum. Compared to normal cleaners it offers a 25% wider cleaning path, as a result of that you are able to clean a larger area of the floor or a carpet in the same given time. It's provided with a telescopic wand that extends up to three feet. As a result all those remote corners, ceiling fans and blinds become easily and conveniently accessible. Its neat and easy-to-empty dust cup further aids convenience.

3. The Eureka 5902AVZ Bagless Upright: it's a very versatile machine. It has an on/off electric brush roll that permits you to switch over from carpets to bare floors. Then there is on-board "Power Paw Turbo Nozzle" to help you to conveniently handle stairs, curtains and upholstery to the point of being spotless. It also helps you to get rid of pet hair more proficiently. The Rugsaver Brush Speed Control permits the roller brush to operate at a low speed for cleaning of delicate rugs.

4. Eureka Central Vacuum Cleaner:  You guessed it right! This built-in home cleaning appliance is installed in the basement or garage of your home and lo! The whole place is cleaned in a matter of minutes. All that you are required to do is to attach a long hose to one of the vacuum outlets - and in no time all the dust and debris passes through the ducts into the central unit. As an after effect you get a completely allergen-free house while it continues to work silently.

With Eureka vacuum cleaners the experience of housecleaning gets as easy as you could ever imagine!

The reputation of Eureka vacuum cleaners was built upon its legendary, sturdy and powerful upright vacuum cleaners. In fact, so well known is Eureka for its uprights that many don't know that Eureka also makes excellent canister vacuum cleaners. So, if you're considering buying a canister vacuum, take a look at what Eureka has to offer.

Canister vacuum cleaners offer one great advantage over upright vacuum cleaners; they are lighter to push around than uprights and offer greater cleaning reach for stairs, underneath furniture and awkward-to-get-at places. For this reason many of us prefer canister vacuums. But many, when thinking about 'what is the best canister vacuum cleaner', often think of Electrolux or Miele, whereas Eureka canister vacuums are often overlooked. This really is a missed opportunity as Eureka makes some of the best rated canister vacuum cleaners on the market and sometimes at a fraction of the cost of their competitors.

Take the Eureka 3684D canister vacuum. It's powerful - thanks to a 12amp motor - and it comes with a blower port and great on-board tools. Like all good quality vacuum cleaners, Eureka 3684D comes with a HEPA filter. The wand is telescopic (a feature that most other leading brands lack) and is made from metal and not plastic; can you think of one other canister vacuum where the wand is made of metal? The Eureka 3684D canister vacuum also comes with a generous 20ft cord.

But, the biggest plus about the 3684 vacuum is the Power Paw Stair Brush system. The Power Paw Stair Brush is a hand-held attachment that uses a powerful brush roll to suck up deep down dirt and pet hairs off stairs and upholstery better than other cleaning appliances.

Eureka also makes the 972B canister vacuum. Admittedly, this vacuum is not as powerful as the Eureka 3684D and it doesn't have as high a specification either. But its selling point is that it's cheap and is a good mid-range canister vacuum. It has 11 amps of power, a 16ft cord (which is self-winding), steel telescopic wand (a cheap vacuum with a metal wand?). It weighs in at 10lbs, slightly heavier than the 3684D. If you have low-pile carpets, hardwood or tiled floors then the 972B will be adequate. If you have deep-pile carpets or other demanding surfaces then you should consider the 3684D or HP6855A, discussed below.

In my opinion one of the best canister vacuum cleaners on the market today is the Eureka HP6855A. It has great visual appeal with sleek lines and a contoured profile. It weighs 20lbs, has a quick release system to allow you to detach the wand and attach the on-board tools quickly and easily, and comes with a headlight, so you can see what's underneath the sofa each time you vacuum. The Eureka HP6855A is a very powerful vacuum cleaner and comes with Allergen Micron Filtration, which ensures that 100% of dust mites and grass pollen are retained inside the vacuum; in fact, all particles are kept locked in, down to anything that is fifteen times smaller than the width of a human hair.

Like most other manufacturers, Eureka makes a broad range of canister vacuum cleaners; one to suit every purpose and budget. Whilst some Eureka vacuum cleaners do lag behind in terms of power, reliability and functionality of their competitors, the canister vacuums discussed above really do compare favourably with anything else on the market.

This vacuum cleaner is not a heavy duty machine that will clean all kinds of stains and dirt in your home. It is a light cleaner for those small tasks we need to do around our home. We all have some little accidents and these messes need to be taken care of fast and easy. You won't do them with a big and heavy vacuum, that will have to be dragged all the way from the basement. It's too heavy for such a small task, and this is why Eureka Quick Up is the perfect solution.

Its small design and good suction power are enough to pick up the crumbs from all types of surfaces. The dirt will then go to the canister that you will need to empty from time to time. The compact design allows you to remove the handle and make Quick Up vacuum into a handheld cleaner. It is a great feature that you can use for only $30. Or even less than that.

We do not like to find crumbs on our kitchen table and kitchen floor. And in the same time, we are to tired to bring out the big, heavy vacuum cleaner just to clean those little messes from day to day. It is impossible to keep the home clean with a big vacuum like that, we can't clean it all after the breakfast, lunch and dinner. And this is why a Qucik Up is such a great solution. It is only 10 pounds heavy and will help you keep your home clean during the entire day. Its easy to make your kitchen shine and sparkle, because you only need 1 minute to vacuum the table and floor. And lets not forget that you can also use this machine on hardwood floors. Hairs and dust bunnies won't stand a chance.

When you remove the handle, you get a handheld vacuum that goes shoudler to shoulder with Dirt Devil vacuum. Get everything clean, all the tight spots that made you problems are now gonna be cleaned. Stairs, furniture and book shelves are going to get cleaned for sure.

A good filter is installed in this machine so you will have no problems and hassles with vacuum bags. You will only have to empty the dirt container Eureka Quick Up has. Everything else goes smooth and quick.

You can find Eureka Altima vacuum for as low as $80. It is not the cheapest vacuum cleaner, but it is a very good choice when you want an appliance to stick a bit longer in your home. It has Good Housekeepin seal of approval which really adds up to the value. You can buy it and try it. If you don't like it, return it to the shop that has return policy.

Altima has a 12 amps motor that really does all the sucking there needs to be done. Hair, dirt and dust balls are going right to the container with a few sweeps only. Your carpets will look new to you when you finish with the vacuuming for th first time. You will be able to see their real color. And you will also be able to see how the dust is accumulating in the plastic container.

All dust mites and dirt particles will be trapped in there, so you don't have to worry about that. This is a great news for all allergy sufferers because Eureka Altima vacuum cleaner has a HEPA filter that captures all those nasty allergens.

You will get to choose from 5 different settings when it comes to height of your carpets and floor. You can use it on the bathroom tiles, vinyl flooring and entryway without a problem and forget about using the broom.

Attachments on this cleaning appliance is what makes it so fun and useful cleaner. A telescopic duster is a really cool one. It can collect the dust with the help of electrostatic electricity which builds up while you are vacuuming. You can use it by twisting the handle that sticks out of the canister and pull it out to clean. You have a 3 feet cleaning radius with which you can collect the dust. After that, you simply put it back in the canister and start the vacuum. Dust will be sucked where is should go and you can continue with work.

Another useful feature is Power Paw that flips up and down to clan your stairs horizontally and vertically. This is sometimes a bit troubling to use because Altima vacuum cleaner is a bit heavy. The attachment itself works great, but the trouble is to move that 25 pounds vacuum up the stairs.

The crevice tool is almost a regular tool nowadays and this appliance also has it. You will have the chance to clean corners, baseboards and all narrow areas like areas behind dishwasher and wall.

Dusting brush can be added to the crevice tool and you will get rid of that stubborn dirt that needs to be cleaned. For example, use it on baseboards, computer keyboard, exhaust fans and anywhere else where dirt is a bit harder to clean.

If you are looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner that can cover a lot of ground and remove all sorts of dirt, then a Eureka Altima bagless vacuum cleaner is what you should get.

When I first purchased this vacuum I was pleased with the strong suction and the on-board features of the power paw (wonderful for upholstery) and static duster (telescopic handle reaches ceiling fan, above door frames, etc). I did notice that frequent cup-dumping and filter replacement were required, but it seemed worth it at the time.

It outperformed every vacuum I'd ever owned for about the first two months, then just started losing suction. First I noticed that the "self-cleaning" feature of the static duster stopped sucking the dirt off of itself, then not enough suction to power the brush of the power paw, then not enough to pick things up with the hose, and now it really just sort of throws stuff around with the carpet brushes, doesn't actually pick up.

I have owned this vacuum for a year now and it is practically worthless at this point. I literally use it to scatter/steer the dirt from the carpet to the bare floors so I can just sweep it up with a broom and dustpan. It has also become increasingly louder as the brushes still spin and the motor seems to be working harder, it makes a really loud rumbling sound mixed with a high-pitched whine like a jet engine.

Compared to the gentle hum it made when it was new and still performing well, it's just the straw that broke the camel's back for me with this machine.

Back in December of 2002 I was in the market for a new vacuum. The old upright I had was just not up to par. The house I am living in has vinyl flooring, carpeting, a woodburner and many nooks and crannies. I decided a canister vacuum was a "necessity". I had my heart set on a Kenmore canister with a power carpet/floor tool. However, a lightweight/compact design was needed as I wanted to use this vacuum to vacuum out my car from time to time. And I decided that the Kenmore would be too big and heavy to haul outside, if even in rare instances. Enter the Eureka Mighty Mite 3670!

After giving up on the Kenmore, I decided to go to the local discount retailer and see what they had in the way of canister vacuums. They only had one type (yep you guessed it), the Eureka Mighty Mite. I read the features and studied the picture on the box for a bit. It had everything I wanted (but the power carpet/floor tool, oh well you can't have EVERYthing). And the price was definately right. So I took it home, tried it out and have been hooked ever since! Now let's talk about some of the features.

The 9.0 amp motor is more than sufficient. It does a wonderful job on carpets, and the handy "combination" tool is great for dusting and upholstery! The "combination" tool is very handy. It has two ports, and two sides. One port/side is the dusting brush. The other port/side is the upholstery tool. No dealing with seperate tools. They are both on one convenient attatchment. There is also a crevice tool for those hard to get into places (like in between car seats). The cleaning hose is a bit long, but I would imagine most people would see that as a plus. And it's really not a problem if you place the Eureka Mighty Mite vacuum cleaner far enough away when you are in a tight spot.

The bags are cheap and a snap to change. I really enjoy using this Eureka Mighty Mite. The hose rotates on it's base so there are no tangles and the floor/carpet tool works great. There is also a "suction control" slip ring on the top wand to control the amount of suction. Although this vacuum does NOT have an electric carpet/floor attatchment the suction from the canister alone does a terrific job. And my carpet is somewhat plush. One other great feature is the "Automatic Motor Shutoff" which prevents the motor from overheating in case of a hose blockage.

In conclusion, I would recommend this vacuum to anyone needing a canister vacuum. Even if you already own an upright I would recommend Eureka Mighty Mite as a second vacuum because it is great for automobiles and all those hard to reach places in your home. It is powerful, easy to use and the tools are simple and conveniently placed!

You can add items from the left menu by dragging them here.

I'm not a big fan of vacuuming, and I know there are more people like me. But we all have to do it though. So here we are at the Eureka Maxima vacuum cleaner review. One of my friends bought this Eureka as a replacement to a more expensive model that somehow got milk into the motor or something. I really don't want to know.

She decided to hit the cheap side of things. Of course shebought this model initially because it was bagless, and looked good enough. But for 49 bucks, I am thoroughly impressed.

Assembly was a breeze. Less than 5 minutes. The unit rolls real easy. Some of the other cheaper models I looked at didn't roll that well. They "wobbled," somewhat. I do have the similar problem keeping the brush on the back. But the positives strongly out weigh that single negative. It has a light which actually does come in handy. My previous vacuum had no light.

My house has a myriad of different floor types. I've got carpet, wood, and laminate plank flooring. This vacuum works well on each surface. On the plank flooring it picks up the dirt etc that gets caught down between the planks.  It's almost a game to watch
Eureka Maxima vacuum pick up material out of the carpet. Being the front is somewhat transparent you can see it pick up dirt as you go.

It does have a hepa filter in the dirt chamber to keep dust etc from cycling through the vacuum. As this filter becomes clogged with debris it will affect the suction power of this machine. However if you remove the "suction chamber," as you would if you were dumping the dirt out, the filter is located in the top and with a simple twist to the left you can take this filter off. I generally take it outside and beat it against my hand to knock out a majority of what it has picked up. Generally it's a once the month type thing. I've replaced the filter twice since I've brought the vacuum. The replacement filter runs about 10 dollars. I replace it about every three months.

The extensions that you can attach to a hose come in handy for taller things. I find them particularly useful for cleaning the ceiling fan, crown moldings, top of windows etc.

It really has a lot of power. Again three children can make a mess fast. Real fast. This vacuum can keep up with them.

From sand to M&M's I've yet to find a mess this
eureka maxima vacuum cleaner could not clean. The bagless system is easy breezy. Just pull and dump. It has all the extensions and everything. All this for only $49. It was really a good find.

As soon as I got Eureka Boss vacuum cleaner out of the box, I tore it apart. I was curious about it's mechanical makeup. I took everything off that could be removed. Everything is made out of plastic (or abs?) which is okay for the big parts. The small parts like the handle to open the storage for the filter bag, the cover to the roller brush and belt, the dust protector for the belt and the plastic retainers that hold the clear tubes could be made, in my opinion, sturdier. The belt is thin and can easily break. Light is almost useless. These are the negative things I could say about this Eureka Boss vacuum, but the positive things I like about the vacuum far outweigh any shortcomings.

I like the way they%u2019ve designed the vacuum to halt the brush when you%u2019re using it to vacuum the bare floor or using the hose. When in hose mode, the sucked air goes directly to the filtered bag before it goes through the motor. Therefore, it acts like a handheld vacuum. That%u2019s the reason why you switch the selector from floor to hose. It%u2019s a genius design and I think it%u2019s becoming more common to design vacuum this way. I bought the 15 foot extended hose and it will lose some of the suction when you use it, but it still does a pretty good job. I use it for dusting around the house and I use it to vacuum inside the car. It does a good job picking up dust around the piano, tv, corners, dashboard in the car, etc. This is one of the primary reasons why I bought this vacuum. I wanted one that can clean up the inside of my car so that I don%u2019t have to go someplace else to get it vacuum. The other reason is that I wanted one that would help my allergy. Vacuuming the carpet was probably last on my list of reasons.

I%u2019ve had Eureka Boss cleaner for about 3 months and am very satisfied. The 1st filtered bag is half full and I%u2019ve vacuumed a lot. It%u2019s performing very well, but waiting to see how it performs when the bag is nearly full. I like the fact that I don%u2019t see a lot of dust oozing out of the bag or in the compartment that houses the filter bag. I bought everything including the 15 foot extension hose, additional filtered bag, motor filter, another belt and the washable hepa filter. Be warned; do not vacuum anything that might stop the action of the roller brush. It will break the belt. It has happed once already but that%u2019s the operator%u2019s fault.

Like many of you that are looking for a vacuum, I read reviews by users and professional reviewers. I highly recommend this vacuum because I like the way it was it%u2019s made and designed; and it does a terrific job for what I need it to do. The benefits that most users have already mentioned are true and it would be redundant to be mentioning those again. I enjoy using it, and I%u2019m a guy.

Best place to read a professional review of Eureka Boss and other vacuumsis @ http://www.consumersearch.com/www/index.html

The user%u2019s reviews I read were all helpful including the negatives ones. I%u2019ll try to address some of the cons.

1. It weights a ton? Not really. Pushing it while in operation is easy. Pulling is slight harder, but you might have a problem if your muscles have atrophied.
2. The %u201Cbrush roll control%u201D is hard to change? I think you just need to go to the gym. I think that the difficult one to change is the %u201Chandle release%u201D. Use your left heal to push it instead of the ball of your foot. With practice, it will become easier to operate.
3. %u201CR%u201D belt? You shouldn%u2019t be picking up anything that can potentially holts the action of the brush like clothing, strings, hairpins, etc. Use the hose if you need to vacuum those things.
4. Maneuvering around tight spots? Use your brain; easier yet, use the hose.
5. Cheaply made? Just because a product is expensive doesn%u2019t mean it performs better. Of course if you don%u2019t use this vacuum as a hammer, tricycle for your granddaughter or as a wheelbarrow while you do garden outside the house, it%u2019s probably going to be able to take the normal beating.
6. Just this tip. Practice the following a few times: stepping on the handle release to get the feel of it; putting the two wands together; removing and replacing the clear tubes; removing and replacing the brush, the filtered bag and the HEPA filter.

If you know how to reasonably assemble and disassemble the different parts before you run into problems, you%u2019ll find that this Eureka Boss vacuum is %u201Cidiot proof%u201D. With the majority of users satisfied, it%u2019s the ones who don%u2019t use at least 1% of their brain that run into problem. Just think, if you used 10% of your brain, you%u2019d be saying the same things that most of the consumer are saying about this product :). Just an opinion.
