I'm not a big fan of vacuuming, and I know there are more people like me. But we all have to do it though. So here we are at the Eureka Maxima vacuum cleaner review. One of my friends bought this Eureka as a replacement to a more expensive model that somehow got milk into the motor or something. I really don't want to know.

She decided to hit the cheap side of things. Of course shebought this model initially because it was bagless, and looked good enough. But for 49 bucks, I am thoroughly impressed.

Assembly was a breeze. Less than 5 minutes. The unit rolls real easy. Some of the other cheaper models I looked at didn't roll that well. They "wobbled," somewhat. I do have the similar problem keeping the brush on the back. But the positives strongly out weigh that single negative. It has a light which actually does come in handy. My previous vacuum had no light.

My house has a myriad of different floor types. I've got carpet, wood, and laminate plank flooring. This vacuum works well on each surface. On the plank flooring it picks up the dirt etc that gets caught down between the planks.  It's almost a game to watch
Eureka Maxima vacuum pick up material out of the carpet. Being the front is somewhat transparent you can see it pick up dirt as you go.

It does have a hepa filter in the dirt chamber to keep dust etc from cycling through the vacuum. As this filter becomes clogged with debris it will affect the suction power of this machine. However if you remove the "suction chamber," as you would if you were dumping the dirt out, the filter is located in the top and with a simple twist to the left you can take this filter off. I generally take it outside and beat it against my hand to knock out a majority of what it has picked up. Generally it's a once the month type thing. I've replaced the filter twice since I've brought the vacuum. The replacement filter runs about 10 dollars. I replace it about every three months.

The extensions that you can attach to a hose come in handy for taller things. I find them particularly useful for cleaning the ceiling fan, crown moldings, top of windows etc.

It really has a lot of power. Again three children can make a mess fast. Real fast. This vacuum can keep up with them.

From sand to M&M's I've yet to find a mess this
eureka maxima vacuum cleaner could not clean. The bagless system is easy breezy. Just pull and dump. It has all the extensions and everything. All this for only $49. It was really a good find.
